Signing On with Slack - Google Single Sign-On

Prerequisites

• JOSÉ ANDRÉS GROUP Google Workspace Account: Ensure you have a JOSÉ ANDRÉS GROUP email address and password.

• Slack Account Setup: Your Slack account must already be created by the IT department. If you do not have an account, please reach out to IT support.

Procedure

Step 1: Open Slack

1. In a web browser (Chrome), go to joseandres-group.slack.com.
   Alternatively: If you have the Slack app installed on your computer or mobile device, open it, and click Sign In.

Step 2: Start the Login Process

1. You should see a page or a prompt that says Sign in with Google.

2. Click on Sign in with Google. This will redirect you to Google’s login page.

Step 3: Enter Your Google Workspace Credentials

1. On the Google sign-in page:

   • Enter your JOSÉ ANDRÉS GROUP email address .

   • Click Next.

2. Enter your password for your Google Workspace account and click Next again.

Step 4: Complete Any Additional Security Steps

• If prompted, complete any Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) steps. This could include verifying with a code sent to your phone or using an authentication app.

Step 5: Access Slack

1. After successfully logging in with Google, you will be redirected to the JOSÉ ANDRÉS GROUP Slack workspace.

2. You should now be able to see the Slack channels and messages available to you.

Troubleshooting

• Forgot Password: If you have forgotten your Google Workspace password, go to the Google login page and click Forgot Password to reset it.

• Account Not Recognized: If Slack does not recognize your email address, or if you cannot see the "Sign in with Google" option, contact IT support.

• Multi-Factor Authentication Issues: If you have trouble with multi-factor authentication (e.g., you did not receive a code), contact IT support for assistance.
