Harri - Send to Toast

Created by James Perry, Modified on Tue, 16 Jul, 2024 at 1:44 PM by James Perry

Things to check before sending employee to Toast:

  • Do they have their primary job assigned?

  • Are their positions mapped to Cost Centers?

  • Are their wages accurate and listed as tipped positions?

  • Have they already been sent to Toast during the onboarding process?

WARNING:  Do not create hourly employees in Toast.  This will throw off how our onboarding and tip distribution programs are synced.

In order to create an employee in Toast, you’ll need to send them to Toast from Harri.

This can be done during the onboarding process or within the Team Members area of Team Live.

From TeamLive:

  • Find the employee that needs access to Toast.  **TIPPED POSITIONS ONLY**

  • Navigate to the Wages Tab.  Ensure all primary positions are added and they have a tipped status.

    • If it says Not Specified please click the Pencil Icon to edit.

    • Click Add New

    • Click Yes or No for “Is Tipped” column and add the start date.

  • Now, go to the Payroll Tab.  Ensure that every position has a mapped cost center.

    • **NOTE - failure to map a cost center can impact sending to payroll.

    • Click the Pencil Icon for each position that doesn’t have a cost center to add one.

    • Each position has a mostly straightforward cost center to map to.

      • For Bazaar Mar + Bar Centro, the exception is Barista, which maps to Busser/Runner.

      • When in doubt, contact support@joseandres.com to confirm.

  • Once your tipped status and cost centers are mapped, you are ready to send to Toast.

**NOTE - BOH and untipped positions do not need to send to Toast.

  • Navigate to the Employment Info tab

  • There is a Paper Airplane Icon next to the POS ID column.  Click that.

  • On this screen, just make sure there isn’t a warning sign next to the main position.  It is ok for Training FOH to have it.

  • If there is a warning icon next to the main position, please reach out to support for assistance.  This means you are using an unmapped position or a position your location was not originally set up to use.

  • Click Send, then click Yes to the Unmapped Position prompt.

  • The result will be that a long string of characters now appears in POS ID

  • If there are any errors that pop up, or if the POS ID field is still blank after sending to Toast, please reach out to us for assistance.
