Harri - Hiring someone from a "virtual" location

Some locations are setup as "virtual" locations or dummy locations that allow you to advertise/post jobs under it... but then transfer them over to the real location to complete your onboarding.
An example of this would be Jaleo Chicago & Pigtail.
  • Jaleo is an outstanding restaurant with a bar
  • Pigtail is a "speakeasy" bar, operating within the Jaleo location (but separately).
  • A craft bartender who may want to work at Pigtail may not know to apply or seek employment in Jaleo.
  • Therefore, we set up Pigtail with its own board and allow people to apply there.
  • Before we offer employment, we move the Pigtail applicant into Jaleo and finish onboarding under the real location.

We do not have Pigtail set up as a location where we send to payroll or schedule.
In this scenario before we move the employee to the "offer" swimlane, after the interview, we would select their tile and then click move to another job. This would allow you to onboard the employee at the correct location once moved to the correct job.

What's important is making sure you do this step before the employee signs their onboarding documents I9, W4, etc.
